New Home under construction, Rambler progress

27 10 2011

Golden Home Builders is building this New home in Farmington, but it is the same house we are offering in Delano.

The home construction is moving right along on this new home.  The roof is on, the windows in, and they are at sheetrock stage already.  The sheetrock provides a fire barrier and a nice wall finish.  This is when the new home starts beginning to look like a home.

The above picture is the basement wall with Thermax insulation on it.  The Thermax provides additional insulation and vapor barrier to keep your basement warm and dry so it can be finished into living space in the future.

Here is a great video explaining the benefits of Thermax:

Below is from last week.  This is showing the garage floor before pouring the concrete slab.  Golden Home Builders takes the extra time to water the soil to get any settling to happen before the floor is poured rather than later when you move in.  Ever a see a garage floor with cracks running through it?  This helps prevent that.

New Home taking shape, Golden Home Builders’ rambler construction status

17 10 2011

This new home is beginning to take shape!  Golden Home Builders has finished the roof and now wrapping the exterior in Tyvek.  Tyvek works as a great moisture barrier between the sheathing and the siding as added moisture and wind protection.

Gary Irene’s  attention to detail is shown in these photos.  Most new homes you see being built will not wrap the garage with Tyvek because this is added cost and not required per code.  Gary like to wrap the garage with Tyvek as well to give the extra moisture protection behind the siding as well as making it easier for homeowner to heat if they decide to insulate and heat their garage in the future.  It is this kind of attention to detail that give Golden Home Builders their great reputation for quality and value.
